merchant, b. Prussia. He came to Milwaukee with his parents in 1861, and was educated in Milwaukee schools and the Spencerian Business College, Milwaukee. He entered the employ of his father-in-law, John Pritzlaff (q.v.), hardware dealer, in 1873. After incorporation of the business in 1883 as the John Pritzlaff Hardware Company, Luedke served as general manager (1883-1917) and vice-president (1907-1917).
