Luedke, Herman August 1850 - 1917 | Wisconsin Historical Society
merchant, b. Prussia. He came to Milwaukee with his parents in 1861, and was educated in Milwaukee schools and the Spencerian Business College, Milwaukee. He entered the employ of his father-in-law, John Pritzlaff (q.v.), hardware dealer, in 1873. After incorporation of the business in 1883 as the John Pritzlaff Hardware Company, Luedke served as general manager (1883-1917) and vice-president (1907-1917). He was associated in official capacities with other business enterprises and was active in many local Lutheran charities. W. G.
