newspaperman, b. Franklin, Ind. He graduated from DePauw Univ. (B.A., 1895), and taught Latin there for one year. In 1896 he moved to Wisconsin, settling in Kenosha where he became assistant headmaster of the Univ. School for Boys. In 1896 he also became associated with the Kenosha Daily Union, and late in 1897 was appointed city editor of the Kenosha Evening News.
