Martin, Deborah Beaumont 1858 - 1931 | Wisconsin Historical Society

librarian, historian, author, b. Green Bay. She was the daughter of Morgan L. Martin (q.v.). She was educated in private schools and under tutors, and in 1897 entered the Kellogg Public Library as an apprentice. She was appointed librarian in 1900, and served in this capacity until her death. A noted student of Wisconsin local and state history, she wrote numerous articles and monographs. She was the author of History of Brown County (1913), co-author of Historic Green Bay (1893), editor of the Green Bay Historical Bulletin, and was president of the Neville Public Museum. W. A.
