lawyer, judge, b. Rockland, Brown County. He read law in the office of Wigman and Martin in Green Bay, attended the Univ. of Wisconsin law school, and was admitted to the bar in 1903. He practiced law in Green Bay for many years with his brothers, John F. and Patrick H. Martin. In 1934 he was appointed to the state supreme court by Governor A. C. Schrnedemann (q.v.) to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Justice Theodore G. Lewis (q.v.). Martin was elected to a full term in 1937 and served from 1934 until his death.
