Milwaukee resident who became prime minster of Israel; emigrated to Wisconsin in 1907 and from an early age she became interested in a Palestine homeland. With her husband Morris Meyerson she moved to Palestine in 1921, became active in the Palestine labor movement, sided with David Ben-Gurion¿s activist party for the establishment of a Jewish homeland, and was Prime Minister of Israel in 1969-1974.
