lawyer, newspaperman, b. Chilton. He was the youngest brother of John R. and Robert E. Minahan (q.v.). He graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin (LL.B., 1901), was admitted to the bar, and set up a law practice in Green Bay. In 1905 he took his nephew, EBEN ROGER MINAHAN, son of Robert E. Minahan, and only a year younger than himself, into the law firm. Eben Roger Minahan was born in Cedarburg and graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin (B.A., 1903; LL.B., 1905). The two practiced together until Eben's death in 1928, and two years later Victor discontinued his law practice altogether to devote himself to the newspaper business, in which he had been interested since 1914 when he helped to found the Green Bay Free Press. He became president of the Green Bay Newspaper Co. in 1915, was listed as co-editor of the Green Bay Press-Gazette (1915-1930), and from 1930 until his death was editor of the newspaper. He was also editor of the Appleton Post-Crescent (1931-1954). Minahan was also active in several business and banking enterprises in the Green Bay and Appleton area. Who's Who in Amer., 27 (1952); F.
