Morse
Origin of Morse, Wisconsin
Named by Thomas Edwards for the foreman of a mill when the district now comprising the Town of Morse was separated from the present Town of Mellen. Morse, the foreman in the mill at the present location of the village, suggested naming the new division after Mr. Edwards. Instead, Mr. Edwards named it after Morse.Thomas Edwards in Ashland Press.
