Puelicher, John Huegin 1869 - 1935
banker, b. Milwaukee. He began his banking career as a clerk in the Wisconsin Marine and Fire Insurance Co. Bank (1885-1893). In 1893 he became discount clerk at the Marshall and Ilsley Bank, rose successively through various positions to become vice-president (1914-1920), and from 1920 until his death was president of the bank. He was a founder and president (1903-1904) of the Milwaukee Chapter, American Institute of Banking, secretary (1905-1908) and vice-president (1908-1909) of the Wisconsin Banker's Association, and president (1922-1923) of the American Banker's Association. He was a member of the Milwaukee school board (1907-1911), and served as a trustee of several Wisconsin colleges. Who's Who in Amer., 18 (1934), J. G.
