Puerto Ricans in Wisconsin
There has been a sizeable Puerto Rican community in the Riverwest area of Milwaukee since the late 1940s. It was considered the first in Milwaukee and still exists to this day. However, the majority of people of Puerto Rican heritage in Milwaukee have settled on the city's South Side. As of the 2010 Census, there are approximately 24,672 people of Puerto Rican descent in Milwaukee - it's highest ever.
