Richardson, Robert Kimball 1876 - 1952 | Wisconsin Historical Society

professor of history, b. Hartford, Conn. He graduated from Yale Univ. (B.A., 1898), Columbia Univ. (M.A., 1899), and Yale (Ph.D., 1902). In 1901 he moved to Wisconsin to become instructor in history at Beloit College, and from 1905 until his retirement to emeritus status in 1947 was professor of history at Beloit. From 1947 to 1952 he was archivist of Beloit College, and shortly before his death had completed the manuscript history of the college. Richardson was for many years a curator of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin and was its president 1946-1949. He was the author of numerous articles on state and local history, and for many years was prominent in Congregational church activities in Beloit. Who's Who in Amer., 25 (1948); Wis. Mag.
