Timlin, William Henry 1852 - 1916 | Wisconsin Historical Society

lawyer, judge, b. Mequon, Ozaukee County. His parents died while he was a youth, and Timlin was largely self-educated, holding various jobs while studying law. After being admitted to the bar, he set up a law partnership in Kewaunee in 1879, practiced there until 1885, and also served as Kewaunee County superintendent of schools (1880-1881). In 1885 he moved his practice to Green Bay, and in 1886 to Milwaukee. There he practiced law until elected to the state supreme court in Apr., 1906.
