Philanthropist who in her will bequest $17,000 (comprised of cash, securities and land) to Whitewater, WI to be used to build a library. Her sister Katherine L. White selected the site and the library was dedicated in 1904. Descendant of Captain David Pierson of New York. Daughter of Samuel Austin White and Mary D. Ferguson. Died July 24, 1901 in Minneapolis, MN.
