Harold Mclean Wilkie was a lawyer born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Early Career

He graduated from Ripon College with a Bachelors of Art in 1910 and the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelors of Law in 1913. He practiced law in Milwaukee from 1913 to 1917 and in moved to Madison in 1917 when he became a member of the law firm of Jackman, Wilkie and Toebaas.

Achievements

Wilkie served on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin law school from 1915 to 1919, and for many years was part of the special counsel for the state of Wisconsin. He was also part of the counsel for the Wisconsin Mutual Insurance Alliance, and general counsel and a director of the Northern Paper Mills Co. of Green Bay. He was a member of the board of regends of the University of Wisconsin from 1931 to 1939 as well as president from 1934 to 1939. Wilkie was the editor of the third edition of Winslow's Forms of Pleading and Practice.

He made his home in Madison until his death in 1950.
