Go Site Seeing at Black Point Estate and Gardens this Summer!

Lake Geneva, Wis. – Make history come alive this summer as you travel to Black Point Estate and Gardens in Lake Geneva. The estate was the summer home for Chicago Beer baron Conrad Seipp and four generations of his descendants.

“Whether you have never been to Black Point Estate and Gardens or you’ve been here many times we will be offering many fun and exciting events throughout the season for our guests,” said David Desimone, site director of Black Point Estate and Gardens. “We will also be unveiling a brand new woodland garden in July that will reflect the landscape of the early 1900’s. It will include over 91 woody plants and over 3,000 perennials.”

Offering a variety of events this summer and fall, some of the highlighted programs include:

  • Beer Baron Cruise - Enjoy an early evening cruising Geneva Lake plus beer samples while learning about the history of the beer barons that vacationed and lived along its shores.
  • Nooks and Crannies Tour - This tour covers many of the behind the scenes areas of the estate, including the basement, third floor, root cellar and brief walk along the shore path. Perfect for those who have already been on the Estate tour.
  • Legends and Landmarks: A Walking Tour of Lake Geneva – Perfect for those who want to learn more about the city of Lake Geneva. A ninety-minute walking tour of downtown Lake Geneva and the historic Maple Park neighborhoods. This tour departs from the front of the Riviera Building in Lake Geneva and not at the Estate.
