For Immediate Release Contact: Keri O’Keefe 5.30.2018 Go Behind the Scenes at Black Point Estate and Gardens Lake Geneva, Wis. – Have you ever wondered what’s lurking behind closed doors at Black Point Estate and Gardens? Discover the answer during the special summer event series: Black Point Nooks and Crannies Tour. “This experience will give guests a more complete glimpse into the lifestyle of Chicago’s successful beer baron, Conrad Siepp, viewing areas of the Estate which are normally off-limits,” said David Desimone, site director at Black Point Estate and Gardens. “The tour was developed to focus on the evolution of technologies that helped provide comfort at Black Point over the last 125 years.” On the Black Point Nooks and Crannies Tour, tour guides will lead small groups through areas of the Estate not ordinarily open to the public. These spaces include the basement, third floor, a view of the beautiful spiral tower staircase, and root cellar. When: June: 15, 22, & 29 July: 6, 13, 20, & 27 August: 3, 10, 17, 24, & 31 Time: 10:30 – 2:00PM What: Black Point Nooks and Crannies Tour Where: Black Point Estate & Gardens (Lake Geneva, WI) The cost is $44.00 per person and there is considerable walking and stair climbing during the tour so guests should dress accordingly. About Black Point Estate and Gardens Black Point Estate and Gardens is one of twelve historic sites administered by the Wisconsin Historical Society. The estate is a 20 room Queen-Anne style “cottage” built by Chicago beer baron Conrad Seipp with construction completed in 1888. Black Point Estate and Gardens is open for tours from May to October.
