Wild Western Adventure Awaits at Wade House!

Greenbush, Wis. – On June 23 & 24, visitors to the Wade House Historic Site will have the opportunity to spend the day amidst the legends of the Wild West, including the likes of Buffalo Bill and Annie Oakley!

“This iconic Wade House favorite is sure to thrill and excite guests with fast horses, trick riding, and fancy shooting,” said David Warner, site director at Wade House. “This family-friendly event is filled with hands-on activities from the Wild West.”

Recreating the Wild West shows of more than 100 years ago, the weekend will contain music, narration, and fast-paced events that will keep the audience on the edge of their seat.  The show will occur at 1 PM on both Saturday and Sunday.

This family-friendly event allows guests to tour the canvas boomtown camp and the entire Wade House grounds. Shop for period fashions, leatherwork, and your own treasures from the Wild West. Try your hand at rope twirling.  Stop by Annie Oakley’s rubber band shooting gallery. Be fascinated by Wild West memorabilia.

William F. Cody originally brought Buffalo Bill’s Wild West to Sheboygan County in 1896, and again in 1912 and 1915. His tribute to The Great American West blurred the lines between history and entertainment. During its run that spanned four decades, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West helped shape a global identity for an emerging nation. At a time when technology was transforming everything in its path, Buffalo Bill’s Wild West ensured that the spirit of the West would live on in the hearts and minds of virtually every man, woman and child on the planet for generations to come.

The Buffalo Bill Wild West show will take place June 23-24 from 10AM-4PM each day.  Visitors will begin the special experience in Greenbush with parking just off Center Street.  Special event pricing, which includes access to the entire Wade House Historic Site, is:  adults - $14; students/seniors - $12; children (5 – 17 years) - $7; Children under 5 – FREE; Family (2 adults & children through age 17) - $38.
