Wisconsin Historical Society Hires Angela Titus as Assistant Deputy Director and Chief Program Officer

Madison, WI. – The Wisconsin Historical Society is pleased to announce that Angela Titus will be joining the organization as assistant deputy director and chief program officer starting July 6, 2020. Prior to accepting the position, she served in senior leadership roles at San Diego Zoo Global, the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation, and United Way of San Diego County. At the Jacobs Center, she served as Executive Vice President for both the Jacobs Family Foundation as well as its non-profit operating entity.

“Angela brings a proven track record of success in strategic planning, creative product development and storytelling for a global attraction,” said Christian Overland, Ruth and Hartley Barker director & CEO of the Wisconsin Historical Society. “Her experience in brand leadership and team building will be invaluable in helping us achieve our strategic initiatives, operational goals and increasing our mission effectiveness.”

Her responsibilities will include leading and uniting all of the Society’s educational and programmatic channels in delivering relevant, engaging, authentic, dynamic, diverse, and inclusive mission-based experiences, publications, exhibits, digital resources, and educational services.  She will also be a member of the Director’s Office and a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Titus has a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Harvard University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She has over fourteen years senior leadership experience in non-profit and cultural organizations. Angela also has for-profit brand and product development experience with Gillette U.S.A., Daymon Worldwide and International Paper. She has won several awards for her work in brand storytelling and communications.
