Wisconsin Dells, WI – H.H. Bennett Studio & Museum, one of the Wisconsin Historical Society’s historic sites and museums, will reopen for the season on May 28, 2022. The site will be open daily for general admission from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. through October 30, 2022. General admission and special experience tickets are available for sale online.

“H.H. Bennett Studio & Museum is the place to visit for anyone interested in photography or history,” said David Rambow, site director. “Visitors can learn about early photography processes and its impact on the local tourism industry in the very space where Henry Hamilton Bennett operated his photography business from 1865 to 1908.”

In addition to the general admission experience, visitors can step back in time to experience the historic photography studio as it was in 1875 by booking a one-of-a-kind photography session at H.H. Bennett Studio & Museum. The Studio Experience offers visitors the opportunity to experience the rules, restraints, sights and smells of a 19th century studio photo process and a custom-made "hard image" to take home as a souvenir. Registration is required 24 hours in advance.

H.H. Bennett Studio & Museum will also offer its Wisconsin Dells Spring Grove Cemetery Walking Tour with multiple dates throughout the season. The tour takes guests on a journey back in time to learn about local history and some of the early residents of the Wisconsin Dells region who worked along the Wisconsin River and helped develop the city in the 19th century.
