About the New Wisconsin Historical Society Website
User-Centered Design, Simplified Browsing, Streamlined Search
Welcome to the Wisconsin Historical Society's new website!
The changes to our site go far beyond a new visual design. Everything on the new website is different; the way the site looks, the way the content is organized and written and the underlying technology that searches and displays the pages. Each improvement was made with our users in mind.
User-Centered Design
We started by talking with real people, gathering feedback from tractor collectors, genealogists, parents, teachers, researchers, historic home owners and history lovers. The new site's layout is organized based on where users go most. Improved searching and browsing capabilities help site users quickly and easily find what they are looking for.
