Cedarburg is located in Ozaukee County, 20 miles north of Milwaukee and just west of Lake Michigan. The first permanent white settlers arrived in the 1840s, settling along the banks of Cedar Creek. The creek provided the natural power needed for the town’s mills that allowed Cedarburg to become a thriving community.

Cedarburg and the surrounding area are known for several attractions including the Cedarburg Bridge (the last covered bridge in Wisconsin), the Interurban Trail, Pleasant Valley Nature Park and historic downtown Cedarburg, which contains listings on the National Register of Historic Places.
