Holocaust Survivors in Wisconsin

Historians estimate that more than 1,000 survivors of the Nazi Holocaust eventually settled in Wisconsin. Nationally, about 140,000 survivors came to the United States after World War II.
Interviews with Survivors
Between 1974 and 1981, Wisconsin Historical Society archivists interviewed 22 survivors. The complete audio recordings and transcripts of those interviews are available online at Wisconsin Survivors of the Holocaust.
