Early Life
Henry William Abraham was a physician and surgeon born in Germany. He was brought to Wausau at the age of three. After graduation from Lawrence College in 1891 and Rush Medical College, Chicago in 1898, he practiced in Appleton.
Achievements
Abraham was a member of the Outagamie County Advisory Board during World War I. In 1920 Governor Philipp appointed him a special delegate to the Anti-Tuberculosis Conference in Duluth. He worked to improve and standardize medical practices and the licensing of physicians in Wisconsin. Abraham served as president of the Fox River Valley Medical Society and the State Medical Society.
