Augusta (Bridge Creek)
Origin of Augusta, Wisconsin
Formerly known as Bridge Creek. When it was proposed to name it after the handsomest girl in town, the vote showed that "Augusta Rickard, a visitor from Oak Grove, Wisconsin," was the choice, and the village was named Augusta.
