(Dem.), born Sun Prairie, July 4, 1919. Educated Sun Prairie public schools. Farmer; canning company field manager 1939- 42. World War II veteran; Army 1942-46. Committeeman Agricultural Conserv. Service; mbr. farm organizations, volunteer fire dept. 12 years, V.F.W., American Legion. On school board 12 years; school clerk since 1950. Elected to Assembly in April 1959; re-elected 1960, '62, '64. Chairman Assembly Highways Com.; member Assembly Agriculture Com., Comm. on Interstate Co-operation, Legis. Council Highway Adv. Com.; served on Legis. Council Conservation Land Purchases Com. 1963-65. Mailing address: Rt. 2, Sun Prairie 53590.
