Lucas Bradley (1809 - 1889)
Architect and Contractor
Lucas Bradley was an architect and contractor born in Genoa, NY. After serving an apprenticeship at Auburn, NY, he spent several years in St. Louis and then moved to Racine in 1844.
He erected public buildings in Racine and other cities; the Second Presbyterian Church of St. Louis and the First Presbyterian Church in Racine are his best-known accomplishments and are recognized as outstanding representations of Greek Revival architecture.
