Dahle, Herman Bjorn 1855 - 1920 | Wisconsin Historical Society

banker, merchant, Congressman, b. Perry Township, Dane Co. He graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin (1877), and established a mercantile business in Mount Vernon. In 1887 he transferred his business to Mount Horeb and in 1891 established a bank. A Republican, he was elected to Congress from the 2nd district in 1898, was re-elected (1900), and served from 1899 to 1903. After leaving Congress he returned to Mount Horeb and engaged in business until his death. Biog. Dir. Amer. Cong. (1928); Madison Wis. State Journal, Nov. 1, 1898; Wis. Blue Book (1901).
