businessman, b. McGrawville, N.Y. He moved west in 1849 and settled at Green Bay, where he became a prominent boat owner and operator on Lake Winnebago and the Fox River. In 1861 he moved to Gills Landing, Waupaca County, where he built a tannery and conducted a commission business. Moving again in 1868, he settled in Racine and engaged in the lumber business.
