Fox Indians
Waa-top-e-not, a chief of the Fox Indians, 1825 (WHI-26931)
used by most writers for the Meskwaki (or Mesquakie) Indians, who came into Wisconsin ca. 1650 from the east, under pressure from the Iroquois.
