Grant, Bud (Harold Peter Grant, Jr.) 1920 -
professional football player and coach. Born May 20, 1927, in Superior, Grant attended Superior schools and was a star athlete at the University of Minnesota. After playing both professional basketball and football, he began his coaching career in 1967. Over the next 18 years he led the Minnesota Vikings (1967-1983, 1985) to 168 wins and compiled a .620 winning percentage, making him one of the most succesful coaches in the history of professional football.
