Was sheriff of Langlade County 1955-59. Past pres. Wis. Sheriffs and Deputy Sheriffs Assn. Elected to Assembly 1958; re-elected 1960. Vice-chairman of Assembly Conservation Committee 1959, member 1961; member Assembly State Affairs Com. 1961. Four years on Legis. Council Menominee Indian Study Committee; on Legis.
