World War II veteran 1943-46 serving in Philippines with field artillery in 1945. Held no public office until his election to the senate in 1956. Chairman Legislative Council's Committee on Mental Health and Problems of Children and Youth, 1958. Member Joint Finance Committee and Joint Survey Committee on Retirement Systems.
