Hicks, Emmett Reuben 1854 - 1925
lawyer, politician, b. Waukau. He graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin (B.A., 1876; LL.B., 1880). In 1880 he opened a law practice in Oshkosh, where he also became active in local Republican politics. He was state attorney general (1899-1903). After leaving public office, he returned to his law practice in Oshkosh, and was affiliated with the Fraternal Reserve (insurance) association until his death. Wis.
