Formerly salesman and automobile dealer 1929-48. Farm owner since 1944. Member Sheboygan Falls Board of Education for 7 years. Member Sheboygan Kiwanis Club; director of a mutual fire insurance co. Served in assembly 1955 and 1957. Member Joint Committee on Finance and 1957 Governor's Retirement Study Commission. Elected to senate 1958 to fill vacancy caused by death of Sen. Prange.
