tinware manufacturer, b. Milwaukee. He graduated from Spencerian Business College in Milwaukee, and began his career as a clerk in a hardware firm. In 1872 he established a retail hardware store. In 1880 he began to manufacture tinware, and in 1891 incorporated the firm as Kieckhefer Brothers Co., with Ferdinand Kieckhefer serving as president and general manager (1891-1899). In 1899 he helped organize the National Enameling and Stamping Co., with which his firm was merged, and served as president of this corporation from 1908 until his death.
