professor, economist, b. Forest Junction. He graduated from North Central College, Naperville, Ill. (B.A., 1904), studied in Berlin, London, and Leipzig, and graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin (Ph.D., 1913). He was assistant professor of economics at the Univ. of Wisconsin (1914-1917), associate professor (1917-1920), and full professor (1920-1951). Kiekhoefer was for many years a popular lecturer and public speaker both at the University and throughout the state, was an editor of the Century Studies in Economics, and an author of several textbooks.
