[Source: My grandfather, John Francis Luttrell, and another man ran a grocery store near the Kohler plant during what he referred to as the Kohler War. He gave the striking workers credit on groceries for their families to carry them through the strike. It caused their store to go under, at least that's what my grandfather claimed. But he always referred to it as "The Kohler Wars." I don't know how significant this is, but when I tried to find it I first googled "Kohler Wars" and did not find it.]
