Kronshage, Theodore Jr. 1869 - 1934
lawyer, b. Boscobel. He graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin (B.A., 1891; LL.B., 1892), was admitted to the bar, and practiced law in Milwaukee from 1892 to 1926. He was a member of the board of normal school regents (1907-1917), of the state board of education (1915-1917), and a member (1921-1927) and president (1924-1927) of the board of regents of the Univ. of Wisconsin. Widely recognized as an authority on public utilities, he was chairman of the Wisconsin Public Service Commission (1931-1934). In 1901 he helped organize the Milwaukee Free Press Co., and was its president until the company was dissolved in 1918. He was active in several other business enterprises, and for many years was prominently identified politically with the La Follettes and the Progressive movement in Wisconsin.
