Le Marchand de Lignery, Constant c.1663 - 1731
French military officer; generally referred to as "Lignery", he was twice commandant of Fort Michilimackinac, he negotiated peace treaties with the Mesquakie (Fox) Nation in 1724 and 1726, and served against them in 1728. Recipient of the Order of Saint-Louis, he died as Town Major of Trois-Rivières (Québec).
