Lewis, Theodore Gorman 1890 - 1934
lawyer, judge, b. near McFarland, Dane County. He graduated from the Univ. of Wisconsin (B.A., 1913; LL.B., 1915). The same year he was admitted to the Wisconsin bar and practiced law in Madison until 1917. Lewis served in the U.S. army (1917-1919), and was discharged with the rank of 1st lieutenant. He was district attorney for Dane County (1921-1925), city attorney for Madison (1930-1933), and executive secretary to Governor Schmedeman (q.v.) (1933-1934).
