Brooklyn, NY; assistant coach for the U.S. Military Academy (1949-1953),  New York Giants (1954-1958); head coach, Green Bay Packers (1958-1967) and Washington Redskins (1969-1970); known for turning the losing Packers into a championship team in three years; won six division titles, five NFL championships and two Super Bowls with Packers; inducted into Professional Football Hall of Fame in 1971; Super Bowl trophy named in his honor.
