Wisconsin State Capitol Interior — Treasurer's Office

Staff of the State Treasurer at work. Although the office was clearly located in the third Wisconsin State Capitol, this photograph may have been taken after the Capitol fire of 1904, because the men's clothing suggests a later date. This is possible because the North Wing of the Capitol was not damaged by the fire. It continued to be used until 1913 when it was destroyed to make way for the new Capitol. |
