Donald Rock Wayside Park Dedication
Vona Donald poses next to a newly dedicated plague. The occasion was the opening of a new wayside park located along Highway 92 between Mt. Horeb and Mt. Vernon. It was named Donald Rock Wayside Park in honor of her late husband, John S. Donald. The plaque reads: "The site was bequeathed by Mr. Donald, who died in 1934. He served the state as senator and secretary of state, and was a sponsor of the State Highway Aid law of 1911, which formed the framework for the state's highway system." |
