This district has been the commercial center of Waukesha since the mid-19th century. It includes 33 stores, offices and hotel constructed between 1857 and 1930 in Italianate, Queen Anne, and Classical Revival styles. Located west of Five Points in Waukesha, the district includes South Street, West Main Street, Broadway, Clinton Street, and Grand Avenue, representing the historic commercial development of the city.
