Additional Information: | This house contributes to the architectural significance of the proposed Jefferson Avenue Historic District as a good example of the American Foursquare style with a Queen Anne influence. The square form of the house is typical of the American Foursquare style, as are the projecting dormers. The corner tower is from the Queen Anne style. The classical, heavy, front porch is also typical of that seen on American Foursquare houses. The porch has heavy columns and rusticated concrete block piers and spindle balustrade. William Jones was a real estate dealer. In 1910, the household also included William and Helen's daughter, Catherine. |
