This house contributes to the architectural significance of the proposed Jefferson Avenue Historic District as a large and good example of the Dutch Colonial Revival style. The large and sweeping gambrel roof with shed-roofed dormer is typical of the style. So is the symmetrical multi-light fenestration and the main entrance with sidelights. William Langdon was a building contractor (Hayes & Langdon). The Langdons later lived in Winter Park, Florida, where William worked in real estate. |
