Jethro Coffin Home Kitchen

View of kitchen in the Jethro Coffin home. Jethro Coffin was a blacksmith and the grandson of one of the island's first white settlers, Tristam Coffin. Built in 1686 the house remains the oldest house on Nantucket. Room features a fireplace with mantle, dresser, table, chairs, bench and other wooden furniture. There is a small smoker in the fireplace, and a rifle above the mantle. In the next room is a wooden cradle.
