An atlas, left, and caryatid flank the fireplace in the dining room of the George Brumder residence at the corner of Grand (later Wisconsin) Avenue and 18th Street. Carved wood paneling with shelves and niches covers the wall. There are sconces fitted for both gas and electricity.
