McCormick Works Shipping Dock

Dock workers preparing boxed farm machines for loading onto a ship at the McCormick Reaper Works dock. The boxes contain McCormick Daisy reapers, New 4 mowers, and let hand open grain elevators. The crates are stamped with the destination(?) "Liverpool". The McCormick Reaper Works was owned by the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company until 1902 when it became the International Harvester Company's "McCormick Works." The factory was located at Blue Island and Western Avenues in the Chicago subdivision called "Canalport." It was closed in 1961.
