Accessing Collections
The vast majority of the items in our collections are not online. The Society owns thousands of archival collections viewable in our Archives reading room. To view and conduct research in our collections, visit us in person.
Wiese — Bucket
2004
This bucket, located on the Eugene and Mary Wiese property, was once used by Baker Canning Co. It was used to lower peas and corn into a cooker.
Straub Barn — Exterior

Dave Straub and children, Sophie and Venice, and their friendly chicken, live at N8089 Doyle Rd (Section 26). Dave has lived here since 1991.
Schmitt Barn — Interior

Christian Barn — Exterior

Richard and Gayle Christian live at W1624 Allen Rd (Section 21). This barn was built in 1914, and they are still milking.
Dyer Garden

Steger Barn — Exterior

Kevin and Debbie Steger took over the farm from Kevin's parents, Jerome and LaVerna, who acquired the farm in 1943.
