The map displays additions, plank roads, streets, railroads, railroad stations, post offices, lakes and streams, prairies, wetlands, Indian mounds, and selected churches, schools, taverns, breweries, groceries, hotels, and justices of the peace. Below the title is an inset plat map of the village of Wauwatosa from a survey by H. Gardner.
